To Iceland with agua – The art of Nimrod Genisher
Atlantic Puffin in Látrabjarg Cliffs, Westfjords, Iceland – Europe’s westernmost point. This cute little bird was amazingly unafraid of me, allowing me to get up-close and take this charming intimate portrait. Canon 5D Mark III & Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II @ 170mm, f/3.5, 1/160 sec, ISO 800.

Located in southeast Iceland, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon is undoubtedly one of the best photographic spots in the world! Icebergs come in various shapes and sizes, and the most dazzling ones are those with deep blue color, formed of the densest, oldest ice. With 90% of each iceberg found below the water’s surface – imagine how enormous these fellows must be! Canon 5D Mark III & Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II @ 150mm, f/8, 1/640 sec, ISO 250.
After a long hour of patient waiting, I finally succeeded capturing this Arctic Tern catching a small fish in the icy water of Jökulsárlón. Only later on, after going over my images, I noticed the presence of those three “Guardian Angels” fluttering high above it 🙂 Canon 5D Mark III & Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II @ 200mm, f/7.1, 1/1000 sec, ISO 200.
The weather in Iceland changes rapidly and continuously – up to four seasons in one single day! If you rely only on the weather forecast, remember that you could be missing incredible one-of-a-kind photo opportunities. Canon 5D Mark III & Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L II @ 45mm, f/7.1, 1/320 sec, ISO 200.
The cool guys from Miggo was so kind to send me an early prototype of their soon-to-be-released AGUA StormProof Bag – especially for my Iceland trip. After climbing all the way up to the beautiful waterfall of Skógafoss under constant heavy water spray, I sat down and waited for the wind to change direction. When that happened, I hurried to take my (dry!) camera out of the bag and quickly shot it laying alongside this impressive landscape. Canon 5D Mark III & Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L II @ 16mm, f/22, 2.5 sec, ISO 100.
