> How do I know which agua model fits my camera?

To find out which agua model suits your camera, we recommend that you check your gear data in the camera fit tool.

> Can I use agua with long lens attached, such as 70-200mm?

Agua is designed to accommodate only medium length lenses. In any case, before you order, we recommend that you check your gear data in the “camera fit” tool to find out which agua model suits your personal equipment.

> Can I put more than one lens into the agua?

No. Agua is designed to carry a camera and a single lens so as to provide photographers with high usability and quick draw capability with excellent protection against storm conditions.

> Is it possible to change the length of the strap in the Strap&Wrap model, and how can I know if the strap fits my height?

Both Strap&Wrap models, for DSLR and Mirrorless, come in one size and there is no possibility to change the length.
When carrying in open position, the camera will “sit” differently according to the user’s height.
Please consult the attached images in order to determine whether the camera position is suitable to your liking.

Installation and use

> What kind of protection does agua offer my camera?

You can easily convert the strap into a sling, by adding the sling connector. For further info, click here >

Maximum lens’ diameter is 10 cm / 4

> How can I be sure my camera will not disconnect from the strap?

The integrity of your camera is our top priority! In development of our products we put great emphasis on the various means of connection and safety to prevent detachment of the camera. Therefore, strict adherence to the correct connection of miggo to your camera according to instructions will ensure that it will remain safe and always connected.

Emphasis should be placed on the correct connection of the screw to the camera, tightening the screw with a coin and adding a thin yet strong string for extra security and peace of mind. It is strongly recommended to check the screw is securely attached to the camera before each use of the product. And most important: When installing, follow precise instructions outlined in the attached leaflet for each product.

> I connected my camera to a Strap&Wrap, but the strap is too loose when closed. What should I do?

If you connected your camera to a miggo Strap&Wrap and after wrapping it up you find that the strap is too loose,
you should disconnect the camera and connect it again through one of the holes located at the BACK of the connection area,
as shown in the following illustration.
If even this does not solve the problem, we recommend you check if your camera and lens set-up is compatible with our definitions.

> Why is it recommended to connect a regular camera strap to the camera, when using a Grip&Wrap?

Adding a regular camera strap is a great way to expand the possibilities of the miggo Grip&Wrap.
This enables carrying the camera at the desired length while it is wrapped and always protected – whether
you’re carrying it or when it’s in your bag.

> Is it recommended to connect a sling with an underside fastener to the miggo (such as BlackRapid or similar)?

No.
Such a strap might cause undesired opening of the miggo screw connection,
and so we do not recommend it.

> Can I permanently connect my miggo to my tripod’s connector plate?

No.
Leaving your tripod’s connector plate permanently connected might cause undesired opening
of the miggo screw connection, and so we do not recommend it.

Maintenance and cleaning

> Are miggo Strap&Wrap and Grip&Wrap dirt-resistant?

miggo Grips and Straps are manufactured from a wide variety of natural and synthetic materials.
These materials do not absorb dirt, or get dirty on their own. However dirt can accumulate on their surface,
or in folds, pockets etc.

Moreover, these materials do not hold up well in extreme temperature conditions, exposure to long periods
of direct sunlight, or aggressive chemical components.
miggo products can work and serve you for a long time, if you remember to keep them clean and cared for,
just like the camera they are connected to.

> How do I clean my miggo?

  • While in use, keep miggo as clean as possible.
  • Brush and air-blow dust and dirt on a regular basis to prevent it from accumulating.
  • Keep the zippers and buckles clean from dust and dirt (and if necessary, oil the zippers slightly).
  • Try and avoid unnecessary over-exposure to direct sunlight, extreme heat or cold, moisture, humidity, seawater, chemicals, fuels etc.
  • When miggo is extremely dirty, remove the screw and hand-wash in lukewarm water up to 30° Celsius / 86° Fahrenheit using a mild soap.
  • Gently scrub with brush or sponge then drip dry in the shade.
  • Do not machine wash, wring, use starch, tumble dry, iron, use chemical detergents or wash at high temperatures.

> Can I wash my miggo in a washing machine?

No.
miggo contains special glues which can get damaged and separate in heat, therefore you should not
under any circumstances put your miggo in a washing machine because it overheats the product and will
harm the materials it is made of.
For that same reason, you should also never put miggo into a drier.

General questions

> What is the difference between agua’s strap and the “Two-way speed strap”?

The strap supplied with agua is a high quality and comfortable strap with convenient features: quick-disconnecting of the strap from the bag; quick connectors secured through fail safe buckles; quick adjustment mechanism of the strap length for perfectly fit to the body using just one hand. The two-way speed strap offers the same features, but also includes the sling connector that screws into the bottom of the camera to create a Sling strap. This feature enables the photographer to choose which connection method to use at any given moment – underneath (sling) or classic from both sides of the camera.

> What is IPX3 standard?

IPX3 is an international standard that defines the exact amount of water washed over the product being tested, at any given time. Agua was successfully tested at such a test. The official IPX3 standard states: IPX3 Protected against spraying water: water spraying up to 60º from vertical at 10 liters per minute for 5 minutes at a pressure of 80-100kN/m2. To adhere to this standard, we perform strict tests at a special “wet” lab, located at the factory which manufactures our bags. In addition, just to be sure, we put the bags through a series of intensive field tests.

> What is the difference between Splat and Gekkopod?

We are collaborating with a local design firm called “Zuckerim” who came up with the basic concept. While they are making flexible tripod for Smartphones, we designed and produced 3 models for action, compact and DSLR cameras.
